Honeywell Cool Mist Humidifiers - Review of the Quietcare Cool Moisture

honeywell quietcare cool mist humidifier

One of the better Honeywell cool mist humidifiers is the Quietcare Cool Moisture.

There are several models of this type of humidifier. They cost a little more, but they do a much better job than the 2-gallon Cool Moisture.

The Quietcare is much quieter when in operation. You might still hear it running, but it shouldn’t be so loud as to annoy you. So you can sleep soundly or watch TV without turning the volume way up in order to hear it.

The Quietcare Honeywell cool mist humidifiers can humidify larger rooms. They tend to raise the humidity level fairly quickly. They are easy to clean also.

You should change the filter at least every month, depending on what kind of water you’re using. If you have hard water and you’re using tap water to fill the tank, then you’ll need to clean and change the filter more often.

You’ll want to get one that has an automatic shut off when the water level gets low. The humidifiers without an automatic shut off will continue to run and run which dries out the filter. You’ll have to re-soak the filter before turning the product on again.

Some people have complained about how awkward it is to fill the water tank on some versions of the Quietcare. The tank can be heavy and the design is a little awkward and off balance when trying to fill the tank (holding it upside down). If you’re not careful, some water will spill making the tank slippery in your hands. You can end up dropping it and breaking it.

A few people have said that their humidifiers stopped working after a few weeks. Most people don’t have this complaint. It might be just a case of not taking proper care of the product. Proper maintenance and regular cleaning is a must for any humidifier you buy.
