Kaz Humidifiers - The PersonalMist Kaz Ultrasonic Humidifier Review

kaz personalmist ultrasonic humidifier

There are several Kaz humidifiers you can choose from. The one I want to mention here is the PersonalMist Kaz Ultrasonic Humidifier.

This unit is great for a small bedroom or if you’re traveling and need it for a hotel room. It’s very small. The tank holds up to a ½ gallon of water, so you’ll probably end up refilling it often if you use it in a medium size or larger room.

There are two settings on the unit (high and low). With this unit being an ultrasonic humidifier, there are no filters to use which is a big plus. You won’t spend extra money replacing filters every month.

Ultrasonics are usually quieter than other cool mist humidifiers, but there is still some noise. The noise shouldn’t be so distracting that you can’t sleep at night. It’s more like a little white noise.

The unit is supposed to run for about 8-12 hours before you have to refill the water, but the tank is so small that you barely get 8 hours of operation out of it on the low setting. If you prefer a bigger tank, you might want to look at the other Kaz humidifiers that are ultrasonic and are for larger rooms.

The PersonalMist Kaz Ultrasonic humidifier is also easier to clean than other units. All you have to do is wipe it down with a dry cloth. If you use regular tap water, you’ll probably see some white dust accumulate around the unit.

People suggest using distilled water to eliminate this problem, but that can get expensive. Just make sure you clean up all the white dust and clean out the tank well according to the instructions. You can also use filtered water which will lower the amount of white dust that’s produced.

The mist that is produced by the humidifier doesn’t go high enough into the air in order to circulate around the room. That’s because the unit is only 7 inches tall. The mist pretty much shoots up into the air and falls right back down onto the floor. Unfortunately, this will cause the immediate area to be soaked wet with water.

In order to prevent your floor, carpet and bed from getting soaked, place the humidifier on a table that is not close to your bed.

If you have a small bedroom or you travel a lot and need a small humidifier you can take with you, then this Kaz unit should be a great choice.

Kaz Humidifier - 4100 Kaz Cool Mist Review The 4100 Cool Mist Kaz Humidifier is another great unit for a small or medium size room. This cool mist humidifier can operate up to 12 hours.
